Rain likely in Nicobar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya

Pune, Apr 21 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Nicobar and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.

Rains are also likely to occur in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Rayalseema, south Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat state, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, north Tamil Nadu and also coastal and north interior Karnataka.

Heat waves prevailed in some parts of Rayalseema and at isolated places in west Madhya Pradesh and Gujrat region. Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Gangetic West Bengal, north Orissa, Bihar, Chattisgarh, south Madhya Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Tamil Nadu, in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, south Madhya Maharashtra, in remaining parts of west Madhya Pradesh and of Vidarbha and were above normal in south Orissa, northwest Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Telangana, in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Punjab and in remaining parts of Uttar Pradesh.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Himachal Pradesh and were below normal is some parts of coastal Karnataka. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in south interior Karnataka, at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather has prevailed in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat state, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karanataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
