Phase one completes 13.30 lakh houses under INDIRAMMA scheme

Hyderabad, Apr 21 (UNI) Denying any major discrepency in the number of houses constructed under INDIRAMMA scheme, Andhra Pradesh Housing Minister B Satyanarayana today maintained that as many as 13.30 lakh houses among the 19.74 lakh houses sanctioned were completed in the first phase.

''The government believed in transparency and hence decided to put all details on the internet,'' he told reporters here. The details relating to 7.86 lakh houses had already been computerised.

He said to ensure more transparency, the government had decided to provide all details of the beneficiaries during the II and III phases and make it foolproof.

It was the previous TDP, which had ''inflated'' the number of houses constructed under the weaker section housing programme and ''built castles in the air'', he alleged.
