Man commits suicide on his birthday, marriage anniversary

Jabalpur, Apr 21 (UNI) Being irked over the increasing debts, a man hanged to death on the occasion of his birthday and marriage anniversary here last night, police said.

A suicide note and investigations revealed that deceased Sanju Sahu (35) took the loan of Rs 6,000 on interest from a grocery trader Gopal Khatri 10 years back.

The victim provided Rs 1,000 as interest every month but the money lender harassed him by claiming that the debt was of Rs 21,000. Tired with the mental torture Sanju committed suicide.

At the time of suicide, Sahu's wife with two children had gone to her parents' house, police added.
