Lok Pal report on suspended IG to be examined - Naveen
Bhubaneswar, Apr 21 (UNI) The report of the Lok Pal on the alleged nexus between suspended Inspector General of Police Sanjib Marik and the criminals in the state will be thoroughly examined, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said here today.
On his return from Delhi, Mr Patnaik, who refused to divulge the details of the report to the newspersons, hinted that appropriate action would be taken on the basis of the findings of the report.
Lok Pal Justice Sharat Chandra Mohapatra, who was asked to probe into the alleged nexus between Mr Marik and some criminals of Jharkhand, submitted his report to the government only recently.
Meanwhile, suspended IG Sanjib Marik when contacted by the newsmen said he was fully innocent and would move the Apex court if he was found guilty in the Lok Pal report.
Mr Marik had already moved the Central Administrative Tribunal against his suspension by the Orissa government.
