Kendriya Vidyalaya likely on NIT-T premises

Tiruchirapalli, Apr 21: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is likely to consider a proposal forwarded by the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli, (NIT-T) for starting a new school on the Institute campus, according to NIT sources.

The sources said the KVS had asked Principal of the Kendriya Vidyalaya-I K V Jayajothi to inspect and approve the land and buildings proposed for the school on the NIT campus. He was expected to inspect the site by the month-end.

If approved, the proposed Kendriya Vidyalaya would get functional from the ensuing academic year with primary sections in temporary buildings until permanent infrastructure was created on a 15-acre site, the sources added.
