Husband kidnaps enstranged wife in Punjab

Sangrur, Apr 21 (UNI) A husband allegedly kidnapped his enstranged wife from Ahamkheri village near Malerkotla in the district late last night, police today claimed.

According to the police, the 20-year old girl was kidnapped by her husband, Shama and his associates from the house of Deen Mohammed, a relative, who sustained injuries while trying to save the girl.

Shama, a resident of Garhshakar in Nawanshahar district had married the girl a few years back but the two fell out after sometime.

Shama along with ten of his associates barged into the house of Deen Mohammed and after beating him, they abducted the girl. The police registered a case on the statement of Deen Mohammed.

However, the police is yet to trace the kidnapped girl and have contacted the Nawanshahar police authorities.
