Five dead in head-on collision
Asansol, Apr 21 (UNI) At least five people were killed and six others seriously injured today, when their trekker collided head on with a dumper at Topsi under Jamuria police station in the district.
Additional Superintendent of Police Bastab Baidya said the trekker, carrying a marriage party, was travelling from New Kenda to Singharan when the accident occurred.
The injured were rushed to the Asansol Subdivisional hospital.
The driver of the trekker died on the spot, while the driver of the dumper managed to escape, the SP added.
