Firstsource launches mobile recruitment van

Mumbai, Apr 21 (UNI) Firstsource Solutions today announced the launch of the first-of-its-kind mobile recruitment van, 'Career on Wheels'.

The van will reach out to job seekers in and around the metropolis. It aims to create higher awareness amongst youngsters about the growth prospects of a career with a global company like Firstsource.

The van will function like a complete recruitment office.

Candidates walking into the van can fill out a registration form, be tested, interviewed and those clearing all rounds, can even receive his/her indicative job offer on the spot.

Inaugurating the van, Firstsource Executive Vice President (Human Resources) Aashu Calapa said ''The BPO industry today faces an enormous talent crunch and in the days to come, the shortfall of trained manpower will become more acute. Career On Wheels is an innovation that we think will help expand the talent pool by taking the BPO career to the job seekers rather than waiting for them to come to us. Since candidates can register, be tested and get indicative job offers on the spot, the van will make the whole process very convenient for job seekers.'' The van began its inaugural journey from Malad, a western suburb, today and in the coming days will travel around the city for 45 days for 8-hours everyday on a pre-decided route. The van will be strategically stationed near malls, colleges and public hang-outs ensuring wider reach.
