Three held for possessing fake rubber stamps

Chennai, Apr 20: Police arrested three people on the charge of possessing fake rubber stamps of various banks and bogus documents from a lodge at Periyamet area.

Police said acting on a tip-off, Dilibabu, Jayapaul Xavier and Parthasarathy, who had cheated many people by preparing fake documents to procure loans from various banks, were arrested yesterday.

The crime came to light when the trio tried to cheat one Prabakaran, a trustee of an educational institution, who had approached them to obtain loan from a bank.
