Sportspersons to get two per cent benefits in Board exams
Chandigarh, Apr 20 (UNI) Haryana Board of School Education has given maximum two percent benefit to the students excelling in sports, cultural and other co-curriculum activities in the recently declared results of middle and secondary examination held in February 2008.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Board said that the concerned schools had sent a proposal to the Board to give maximum two per cent benefit to such students who had participated and excelled in sports and other cultural activities at district, state and national level in the semester examination held in the academic year 2007-08.
He said that the benefit had first time been converted into additional marks on the recommendation of the schools.
The spokesman said that similarly this benefit as sent by the schools had been converted into marks in the total of other students also. The same system of converting the percentage benefit into marks had been adopted by the Board in the secondary examination, he added.
