Raj: 7 killed, several injured in road accident

Jaipur, Apr 20: At least seven people, including a newly-wed woman, were killed and three others injured in a head-on collision between a jeep and a truck near Mokhampura village in Bikaner district today.

The Jeep was on its way to Vijai Nagar from Samdarsar village near Sridungargarh when it rammed into the speeding truck coming from opposite direction this morning, police sources said.

The powerful collision killed the seven people on the spot.

The injured were admitted to the PBM Hospital in Bikaner, the sources added.

In a separate accident, about a dozen passengers were injured when a mini bus in which they were travelling overturned near Bagar diversion near Alwar.

The injured were admitted to a government hospital in Alwar.
