RCKM proposes free heart surgery for 20 Kashmiri children

Srinagar, Apr 20 (UNI) The Rotary Club of Kashmir Midwest (RCKM), under the ''Gift of Life'' project, is proposing to arrange ''free heart surgery'' for twenty economically weak Kashmiri children.

Suffering from congenital heart diseases, the children upto the age of 20 years, who cannot afford surgery and have no access to quality medical care, would be provided free treatment, a spokesman of the RCKM said.

He said, ''Many poor patients in Srinagar hospitals need help but there is no structural support system available.'' The spokesman said the RCKM has decided to come to the rescue of the people suffering from these diseases in the valley.
