Free treatment and medicine provided to thousands in Kashmir
Srinagar, Apr 20 (UNI) The Rashtriya Rifles (RR) today organised a medical camp where more than 2000 patients were provided free treatment and medicines in south Kashmir, a defence ministry spokesman said.
He said the 44 RR under the aegis of 70 Infantry Brigade organised a medical camp at village Tukroo in south Kashmir district of Shopian for the people of adjacent and remote villages.
He said about 2000 patients including 382 women, 313 elderly and 250 children attended the medical camp.
They were given specialised treatment by a team of civil and Army doctors.
He said medicines were distributed free of cost to all patients in the camp.
