BJP central leadership trying to pacify dissidents
Patna, Apr 20 (UNI) The rebel activities within the BJP camp following recent expansion of the Nitish Kumar Cabinet were brewing with the number of dissidents swelling everyday, even as the central leadership was trying hard to resolve the crisis.
State unit convenor of the NDA Nand Kishore Yadav was today summoned for the purpose.
Party sources here said Mr Yadav, also the state Health Minister, had already left for Delhi where he would have detail discussion with the central leadership on the issue of rebel activities within the party.
Being convenor of the NDA, Mr Yadav's observations and suggestions would be helpful for the central leaders in taking a decision on the matter.
The sources informed that party state president Radha Mohan Singh, who was the prime target of the dissidents, had also been summoned to Delhi.
He was likely to call on the central leaders in New Delhi tomorrow.
National spokesperson of the party Ravishankar Prasad had been entrusted with the responsibility to handle the party rebels in the state and Mr Prasad was camping here to negotiate with the dissidents.
He also met former state party president Gopal Narayan Singh, who too targetted Radha Mohan Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi for taking unilateral decisions in the Cabinet expansion.
Mr Singh dubbed the duo as ''dictator'', alleging that not even a single leader of the state unit of the BJP was taken into confidence before expansion and every decision was made as per their choice.
'' Such arrogant attitude of both Mr Modi and Mr Radha Mohan Singh will cost dearly whenever the party will go to the people's court, '' he said.
