11 killed, 29 injured in accident

Bhavnagar, Apr 20 (UNI) Eleven people were killed and 29 others injured when the truck, in which they were travelling, rammed into a speeding truck, near Mahuva taluka of Gujarat today.

Both the vehicles were also hit by another trailing truck, police said.

According to Mahuva police, 50 members of Rabari community were proceeding to Dundas village in Mahuva Taluka from Padargadh to perform some religious rites.

Their vehicle was initially hit by the speeding truck and later by another truck, coming from Haryana, around 0920 hrs, killing 11 people on the spot.

The injured were admitted to Bhavnagar and Mahuva hospitals, police added.
