Public meeting demands removal of Goa's AG
Panaji, Apr 19 (UNI) A meeting called by an NGO Utt Goenkara today, demanded that the Goa government sack the state's Advocate General Subodh Kantak, allusing him of unwarrantably increasing burden on the state exchequer.
In a unanimous resolution moved by the NGO spokesperson Advocate Aires Rodrigues, the meeting further demanded that keeping in view the alleged double and excessive billing by Mr Kantak, all bills submitted by him needed to be thoroughly probed and all excess amount paid to him be recovered.
Earlier, addressing the meeting, Advocate Rodrigues challenged Mr Kantak to an open public debate on the serious allegations against him, stating that all the allegations were based on documentary proofs, facts and figures.
