Youth arrested for abducting 16-year-old girl

Shimla, Apr 18: A 20-year-old youth has been arrested for allegedly abducting a 16-year-old girl from a village in this district, police today said.

Kamlanand was arrested at about 2200 hrs yesterday from Shangal village, about 147 km from here, after he had abducted a girl of the adjoining Lalsa Village, police told the sources here.

Both the boy and the girl were found in a house in Shangal village following a tip off by a villager, the police said.

The girl's father had filed a complaint against the boy alleging that he had abducted her.

A case has been registered under Sections 363 and 366 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and investigations are on, it added.
