Jammu, Apr 18 (UNI) At least six labourers were killed and three injured, two of them critically, when a tipper carrying them rolled down into a deep gorge in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said.

The driver of the tipper lost control while negotiating a sharp turn and fell into the gorge near Lower Juda area in Kohdi village of Reasi district late last evening.

''The tipper was hired by the UN Raju Company which has been entrusted with the job of construction of the world's highest bridge on Chenab river at Kohdi,'' the sources told UNI.

Out of the six killed, three labourers had been identified as Tara Chand (driver), a resident of Panasa, Resham Singh and Shambhu Ram, both residents of the Patia, the sources added.
