New movie helped Christina Ricci find romance

Washington, Apr 18 : Christina Ricci has revealed that her new movie 'Speed Racer' helped her find romance.

In an interview with BlackBook, Ricci said the filmmakers created another weird, wonderful, wild universe and helped her find romance. It was on the sets of this film that she met boyfriend Kick Gurry, an Australian actor who plays Sparky in the movie.

In 'Speed Racer', the 28-year-old actress will be portraying the role of the plucky helicopter pilot and girlfriend of the title character. The film is produced by Wachowski Brothers of 'Matrix' fame and is based on the popular animated show about a race-car driver.

"The film resembles 'Blade Runner,' but with Andy Warhol, Pop Art colors. The racing effects are insane. It's crazy looking; it's like nothing I've ever seen before," the New York Daily quoted Ricci, as saying.

The actress also claimed that she is actually a shy girl who loves keeping her home spic n span.

"I get so nervous. I happen to be socially awkward and shy. I spent a lot of my time as an adult not going places. I'm a clean freak. I get really excited when things are clean, and I love sorting things. I love folding laundry in front of the television," she said.

However, she's not vouching for a role sought by many actresses, i.e. of a stripper.

"I mean, you see actresses, and their passion project is to play a stripper. It's just stupid. But now, the hottest thing to say is, I can work a pole!" she said.
