80 shopkeepers booked,76 traders fined in north Kashmir
Srinagar, Apr 16 (UNI) About 80 shopkeepers were booked and 76 others fined for violating provisions of Weights and Measures Act in Baramulla district.
Official sources said the checking squad of Legal Metrology department conducted market check in different areas in Baramulla district following complaints about black marketing and other violations by the shopkeepers.
They said cases against 80 shopkeepers were booked while 76 others were fined for violating provisions of Weights and Measures Act and other laws at Sopore, Boniyar, Pattan and Baramulla tehsils.
