Suspected arms racketeers held in Coochbehar

Coochbehar, Apr 16: Two honey sellers were arrested late last night for their alleged involvement in arms dealing in Chandanchura area of Coochbehar.

SP Anil Kumar today said that they have seized a six chamber pistol, three single-shooter 9 mm pistols, 62 rounds of .303 cartridges, 23 rounds of 9 mm bullets and four rounds of .32 cartridges from their possession.

Police said that although they seemed to be only honey sellers, they had received a tip-off that they were involved in arms dealing as well. Following that information, they had arrested the duo and seized the arms and ammunition from them.
