Woman commit suicide in Kashmir, no impact of fatwa
Srinagar Apr 14 (UNI) One more woman took extreme step as the trend of committing suicide in the Kashmir valley has not stopped even after a fatwa issued by muslim ulmas declaring it an un-Islamic act.
Official sources said a woman Taja Bano consumed some poisonous substance in her Bandimarg, Zainpora, house in south Kashmir on April 12.
She was admitted to district hospital at Anantnag where she died late last night, they added.
Almost one person is committing suicide in the Kashmir valley despite fatwa issued by the muslim ulmas against it.
A number of social and religious organisations have also voiced their concern over the social evils, including an increase in the suicide attempts in the valley.
