Two youths drown while celebrating Baisakhi

Kapurthala, Apr 14 (UNI) Two youths today drowned in the Beas river while celebrating Baisakhi on the banks of the river near Raipur Raian village in the district.

According to police, the two youths, identified as Balwinder Singh and Raja of Raipur Raian village, jumped into the river to take a bath on the occasion of Baisakhi but drowned due to current waves.

Their bodies have not yet been recovered. The villagers are taking the help of swimmers to locate their bodies.
