Ram Naumi celebrated with religious fervour in HP

Shimla, Apr 14 (UNI) Ram Naumi was today celebrated with religious fervour and gaeity across Himachal Pradesh with people thronging temples of the state in large numbers to pay their obeisance to Lord Rama.

People waited in long queues in front of the temples for their turn to pay their obeisance to Lord Rama whose birthday is being celebrated today.

Celebrations begin with a prayer of the Sun early in the morning followed by special prayers at mid day, when Lord Rama was supposed to have been born.

In Shimla, people thronged Ram Temple in Ganj Bazar to pay their obesiance to Lord Rama, who is also considered the human incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
