Punjab to upgrade school infrastructure
Bathinda, Apr 14 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said that the state government had already embarked upon an ambitious programme to upgrade the infrastructure in the 351 government senior secondary schools at a cost Rs 142 crore in order to impart quality education to the students in the science and commerce stream.
Mr Badal expressed these views while handing over appointment letters to 154 school masters/mistresses and 107 ETT/JBT teachers.
Addressing the teachers, he said the entire appointment procedure for the recruitment of government school teachers under different categories had been completed.
''Today's function is the step towards realising the dream of the SAD-BJP government to revamp and strengthen the entire school education system in the State,'' he said.
