'Prom Night' tops box office with 22.7m dollars

Washington, April 14 : 'Prom Night,' starring Brittany Snow, has topped the weekend box office raking in 22.7 million dollars, as per estimates compiled by Exhibitor Relations.

Nelson McCormick's thriller, which is a remake of the 1980 film of the same name, is followed by Keanu Reeves' 'Street Kings', which earned 12 million dollars, reports E! Online.

At number three was '21,' the card-counting drama starring Jim Sturgess, Kevin Spacey, Kate Bosworth, and Laurence Fishburne, with 11 million dollars.

Jodie Foster's 'Nim's Island,' which was at number 3 last week, fell down to fourth place with 9 million dollars. Rounding off the top five was George Clooney's 'Leatherheads' with earnings of 6.2 million dollars.
