Four women labourers killed, six injured in road accident

Dindigul, Apr 14 (UNI) Four women farm labourers were killed on the spot and six others injured, when a tractor-trailer loaded with thresher overturned at Raghavanaickenpatti village near Odhanchathiram in this district of Tamil Nadu.

Police said here today the accident occurred yesterday when the tractor-trailer was transporting the thresher, in which a group of women labourers were travelling.

The deceased were identified as A Sukhanya (17), K Murugammal (30), S Mallika (28) and Veeramathi (45).

The injured were admitted to the Odhanchathiram Government Hospital.

A case wad registered and investigation was, underway, police added.
