TN: Five killed, 55 injured in road accident

Ariyalur, Apr 14: Five people, including three women were killed and 55 injured when a bus in which they were travelling collided with a lorry at Keelapazhur-Malathankulam road junction near here last night.

Police said the mishap occurred when the bus was proceeding to Tirupur from Jayankondam.

While the women were killed on the spot the other two succumbed to their injuries at Thanjavur Medical College Hospital. (TMCH).

The injured were admitted to Government hospital Ariyalur and TMCH.

The deceased were yet to be identified, police added.
