Jessica Simpson 'couldn't be happier' for Ashlee's engagement

London, Apr 12 : American pop singer Jessica Simpson has claimed that she "couldn't be happier" about her sister Ashlee's engagement to Pete Wentz.

News of her engagement to Wentz was revealed 'to fans' on April 11 by Ashlee herself.

Though their father Joe Simpson has been reported as not favoring 'Fall Out Boy' bassist Wentz, it just has not stopped Jessica from being happy and pleased for the young couple.

Jessica, who had been married to singer Nick Lachey for three years before divorcing, revealed that she is very ecstatic about the whole thing.

"My sister is overflowing with joy. Pete is an incredible soul," The Sun quoted her as saying.

"They naturally bring out the best in each other. I couldn't be happier," she added.
