Heath Ledger set up in cocaine video: Lawsuit

Washington, Apr 12 : A lawsuit filed against a Hollywood photo agency claims that two of its photographers deliberately gave cocaine to late actor Health Ledger in 2006 at SAG after-party, and then secretly taped him.

The suit comes after the 'Brokeback Mountain' star was seen taking cocaine in a vediotape promoted by 'Entertainment Tonight" and "The Insider".

In the lawsuit filed at Los Angeles County Superior Court, Jane Doe (a pseudonym), who was working as a freelance reporter for People magazine, claimed that Darren Banks, one of the Splash News photographers, also her boyfriend at the time, had met Ledger and brought him to the room booked by Doe for evening assignment. Banks was accompanied by his colleague Eric Munn.

According to the suit, Munn gave cocaine to Ledger and then left the room.

Ledger, who had no idea they were photographers, also had some cocaine of his own.

Munn then clandestinely recorded what was going on. Doe claims she didn't know that she was being videotaped, reports Usmagazine.com

She also said that when Ledger spotted the camera, he demanded the tape be destroyed to which the photographers agreed.

Doe is now seeking unspecified damages for fraud, distress and privacy violations.
