Gold improves; Silver declines

Mumbai, Apr 12: A mixed trend was seen in the precious metals as Silver fell by Rs 105 per kg on lack of local demand, while Gold improved by Rs 5 per ten gm, in the opening session of trading here, Bombay Bullion Association sources said. Following were the opening rates of spot silver and gold in the bullion market here today: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade: Rs 23,755 Gold (per 10 gm) 99.5 purity standard mint: Rs 11,970 99.9 purity pure gold: Rs 12,030
