BJP seeks security for Indians working in Afghanistan: BJP
New Delhi, Apr 12 (UNI) Condemning the killing of three Indian road engineers in Afghanistan, the BJP today asked the Government to ask the Afghan government to provide full security to Indians engaged in reconstruction of their country.
The party, however, hoped that the friendly relations between the two countries would continue to grow.
Talking to newspersons, BJP spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy said the Indian government must take the incident seriously and discuss the matter with the Afghan government which must ensure the safety and security of the Indians working in that country.
Three Indian road engineers and an Afghan were killed this morning in southwestern Afghanistan in the second deadly attack by Talibans on road builders in a week. In today's incident a suicide bomber got out of a car and then blew himself up, killing four persons, including three Indians and injuring three others.
''For BJP it is a serious and condemnable incident,'' Mr Rudy said, adding that India was helping the worn-torn Afghanistan and it was the duty of the Afghan government to ensure safety of the Indians.
