SUCI leader's body handed over to family members
Puri, Apr 11 (UNI) The body of SUCI leader Bidhan Chatterjee was handed over to the party functionaries and the family members in Orissa who arrived here today.
Police said the body was later carried to his native place in Kolkata by road.
Chatterjee had committed suicide in a city guest house on Wednesday last, soon after he checked into it.
The sea beach police had broke open the door and sent the body for postmortem.
Since the deceased identified himself as Bikash Choudhury of Kolkata in the visitor's book of the guest house, the police had sought information from their counterparts in Kolkata.
But Orissa state SUCI officials identified the deceased as Bidhan Chatterjee, a veteran leader of SUCI in West Bengal.
