Car festival to be performed on April 19

Tiruchirapalli, Apr 11: The annual Chithirai car festival of Shri Thayumanavaswamy temple (Rock Fort) will be held here on April 19, according to M Sundararajulu, Chairman Board of Trustees of the temple.

Talking to newspersons here last night, Mr Sundararajulu said as a precautionary measure, a third party insurance policy would be taken for 20 people each for both cars.

The cars will be pulled up by the devotees from at 0600 hrs on April 19 and it would be returned to its base around noon, he added.
