New Yorkers protest against 'yuppie' Bruce Willis

Washington, Apr 10 : New York neighbours of actor Bruce Willis' new wine bar have named a pig after him and will be roasting it in a bid to protest against the "yuppie" take-over of the city's downtown neighbourhoods.

Launched in Manhattan's East Village last month, the Bowery Wine Company is jointly owned by the 'Die Hard' star.

While the liquor stop is described as "upscale and loungy," the locals strictly disapprove of Willis' presence in the arty neighbourhood.

In fact, activist John Penley is planning a protest in August where they will be roasting a pig named Bruce.

"We're getting a pig and we're naming it Bruce," Contactmusic quoted Penley, as telling the New York Post.

To top it all, folk singer David Peel will be performing his anthem, 'Die Yuppie Scum', while the pig gets roasted.
