Rupee gains at 39.9450 against US Dollar

Mumbai, Apr 10: Rupee today moved up at 39.9450 against US Dollar, appreciated nearly six paise from previous close of 40.00/01 per Dollar on fresh inflows in the opening trade.

The Indian unit opened the session on firm note and then after seemed to be rangebounded between 39.90 and 39.95 per Dollar amidst alternate bouts of buying and selling of Dollars in a fairly active inter-bank foreign exchange market, dealers said.

The Indian bourses fluctuated between red and green that also partially kept the rupee rangebounded in the opening trade, dealers added.
