Woman raped; warns police to strip self at CM residence

Budaun, Apr 9 (UNI) In a bizarre incident, a woman today walked in partially striped condition in this district to protest alleged gang rape on her.

Champa Devi along with her husband Manoj Kumar and brother Satendra Kumar staged the unusual demonstration from Lalpur chauraha to police station here. They also attempted to block Bareilly-Agra Highway, police said.

Champa Devi of Jarif nagar area was allegedly raped by Maniram and his aides. Even after lodging FIR nothing was done against the culprits.

She also charged the local police of accepting bribe to supress the case.

The victim had issued warning to the police, if justice was not met to her, she would demonstrate in the same manner in front of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's residence.
