No plans for politics, comeback to films: Tina Ambani

Nagpur, Apr 9 (UNI) Bollywood actor of Yesteryear and industrialist Anil Ambani's wife Tina Ambani has categorically denied plans to make a comeback in films or enter politics.

Speaking to mediapersons here yesterday, Ms Ambani said she did not see films as part of her future. ''Movies are my past. This is my present. I have a future, but I don't see films as part of my future,'' she said.

''Politics may be of interest to certain people, but I am not interested in it. I have no plans to get into politics,'' Ms Ambani said. Asked if she desired to enter Parliament like some other film actors, Ms Ambani categorically replied in the negative, ''The thought has never crossed my mind.''.

Ms Ambani, who was in the city to inaugurate the local branch of a chain of pre-schools, flatly refused to comment on the controversy involving superstar Amitabh Bachchan, a close friend, and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray. ''I am disappointed that such a question is being asked on this occasion,'' she shot back.

Earlier, Ms Ambani cut the ribbon to mark the formal inauguration of the local branch of the Children's Nook Group of Pre-Schools, of which she is one of the directors and went around the school and also interacted with kids and their parents.
