Konkan Railways signs annual MOU with Indian Railways

Mumbai, Apr 9 (UNI) Konkan Railways Corporation has signed its annual Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Indian Railways for 2008-09.

The MoU was introduced in 2002-03 on guidelines of the Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Heavy Industries. The MoU charts the direction, specifies targets set by the Konkan Railways Corporation and is reviewed every six months by the Ministry, a release stated.

Konkan Railways earned gross revenues of Rs 491 crores, and operating surplus of Rs 195 crores in 2007-08, added the release.
