3 Lankan nationals held at Chennai airport

Chennai, Apr 9: Three persons, including two Sri Lankan women and an agent were held by the airport officials here today.

According to police, the officials noticed two women talking in a suspicious manner and exchanging air tickets inside the lobby.

The officials questioned the women and found that one Fathima Nazreen did had no valid documents. She had a ticket for flying to Thiruvananthapuram, while her friend Muthaiah Nagamma had a ticket with proper documents for travelling to Colombo.

Based on the information provided by them, the agent Kandha Raja, also a Sri Lankan national, who arranged the tickets for the women was held.

The three were handed over to the Airport Police.
