'Sonia, Rahul support youth in K'taka polls'

Bangalore, Apr 8: AICC Supremo Sonia Gandhi and Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi are in favour of giving more opportunity to youth and this may reflect in issue of tickets to the next month elections to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, State Youth Congress President Krishna Byre Gowda said today.

In a chat with newsmen after being conferred Honorary Diploma on Eminent Personalities by IMAC here, he said that "with Ms Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi giving clearance for the request to consider issuing tickets to more number of youth, I am confident of youth getting their due share", he added. Replying to a question, he said that " the per centage of seats reserved for youth is not important, but winning chances should be taken into consideration. Senior leaders are also in favour of giving more ticket to youth." Mr Gowda said that Ms Sonia Gandhi and Mr Rahul Gandhi would be campaigning in Karnataka during the election.
