Rs 19 lk stolen from Central Bank of India in Jaipur

Jaipur, Apr 8: Five armed robbers today looted over Rs 19 lakh from a Central Bank of India branch here, Superintendent of Police (Jaipur North) H G Raghvendra Suhasa has said. The robbers, armed with pistols and other weapons, entered the bank in busy Johri Bazar area about 1030 hrs this morning, while the bank staff was about to start the day's business.

The miscreants had terrorised the staff at gun point and snatched away the cash, amounting to Rs 19.39 lakh, from the cashier and fled in a car. One of the robbers appeared to be in his mid fourties and four others aged about 25 years, the SP added. A massive search has been launched to nab the criminals.
