Punjab BJP to observe week-long protest against price rise

Chandigarh, Apr 8 (UNI) Punjab BJP President Rajinder Bhandari today announced that the party will observe a protest week till April 14 against UPA government in the Centre for its failure to control the unprecedented rise in price.

Mr Bhandari in a press release issued here today said the district units of the party will lead this protest in the form of demonstration and rallies.

The party will observe this week as public awakening campaign of the party against inflation and economic policy of the Central government, he said.

''Congress party and inflation are twin sisters. Every time the Congress party came in power, prices inflated. Taxes shortages, black-marketing, rising prices and the Congress are almost synonymous words. The recent inflation has broken all its previous records,'' Mr Bhandari said ''The Congress Party came in power with the slogan 'Congress ka Hath, Aam Aadmi ke Sath' but in reality the party's hand is picking the pockets of common man.''
