Macca takes an indirect swipe at 'publicity-seeking' Mills

London, April 8 : Sir Paul McCartney has indirectly slammed Heather Mills by appreciating his first better half Linda for being a private person rather than public.

While praising Linda, who died of breast cancer in 1998, the former Beatle took a thinly veiled swipe at Mills for being a publicity-seeker.

"She didn't go on TV and say, 'This is who I am - hello' and try to ingratiate herself. Her priorities were private rather than public," The Mirror quoted Macca, as saying.

Macca spoke of his love for his photographer wife ahead of a London exhibition of her work.

"She was a great person to hang out with. She was a very natural girl, naturally blonde. She was so funny, smart and talented," he said.
