Ludhiana bans harvesting of wheat in night hours

Ludhiana, Apr 8 (UNI) Ludhiana District Administration has banned the harvesting of wheat by the combine harvestors from 1900 hrs to 2000 hrs.

District Magistrate Sumer Singh Gurjar while passing the order stated that the order shall be effective till May 31.

He said that in case of the harvesting of moisturised and unripe crop during the night hours, the produce does not full fill the specifications fixed by the government and the purchase agencies express inability to purchase such crop.

Mr Gurjar appealed the farmers to harvest the fully ripe crop only during the day time, so that, they do not face any problem in selling their crop.

He warned that in case any combine operator caught violating these orders, he would be punished sternly.
