Daily-rated worker of PAPSCO observe fast to press demands

Puducherry, Apr 8 (UNI) Daily-rated employees of the Pondicherry Agro Products and Civil Service Corporation (PAPSCO) today observed a fast in front of the PAPSCO head office at Thattanchavady, near here to press their demands.

They were demanding, among other things, enhancement in their wages and regularisation of service.

Meanwhile, volunteers of the All India Central Council for Trade Unions (AICCTU) local unit held a demonstration before the Labour department, demanding the re-opening of a private industrial unit here and reinstatement of 48 labourers, who were terminated from another private industry.
