CBI raids eight companies of Hiranandani group
Mumbai, Apr 8 (UNI) CBI sleuths today raided eight companies belonging to the Hiranandani Group in connection with misappropriation of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) to the tune of Rs 168 crore.
The raids were carried out after information was received regarding the misappropriation of the EPF funds, CBI officials said.
CBI officials told reporters that the Hiranandani brothers had not deposited the provident funds of the staff with the government and they were investigating if there were any other violations on their part.
Niranjan and Surendra Hiranandani are well known city builders, who have varied business interests and have a big housing colony as well as a hospital in Powai area of the Metropolis.
