Nicole Richie and Joel Madden planning a summer wedding

Melbourne, Apr 07 : Contrary to the continuous dismissals, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are in fact planning a big wedding with eight bridesmaids, it has been revealed.

A friend close to the couple has revealed details of what will be a summer wedding.

The friend disclosed that the wedding will be a big do and will have no less than eight bridesmaids.

"At this point, they're just trying to get dresses together," the Daily Telegraph quoted the friend, as telling OK magazine.

A source close to the couple, who welcomed their first child, Harlow, on Jan. 11, revealed that the wedding plans are already in the works.

"I can't give too much away. But I can say is that it will be this summer," the source stated.

The pal revealed that the invites are all set to go out next week and has also confirmed that a celeb party planner is already getting everything together.

The cake tasting in New York City at 'The Simple Life' star's favourite bakery, Alice's Tea Cup is already underway.

"She loves it there," the source said.
