Tata Steeel to celebrate World Health Day on Apr 7
Jamshedpur, Apr 5 (UNI) Corporate Sustainability Services(CSS) department of Tata Steel will celebrate the World Health Day on April 7 with the theme "Protecting Health from Climate Change".
Company sources today said that the Tata Steel Family Initiatives Foundation(TSFIF) would organise a series of functions, campaigns, discussion forums and interactions to create awareness on health protection during climate change.
Students from 10 schools of Jamshedpur would actively participate in the day-long function, the company sources said.
On the occasion of World Health Day, Tata Main Hospital(TMH) would also organise Cancer Screening and Detection Camp. The camp would provide free check up on the date and time.
Significant achievements by the Company in the area of environment include an improvement in environment and resource conservation, along with reduction in green house erosion, raw materials and water consumption. The Company has increased waste re-use and re-cycling.
