Rainfall at few places in Karnataka

Bangalore, Apr 5: Following is the summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrs today. Rainfall occurred at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka. Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Nelamanagala 6 Bandipura 4 Pandavapura 3 HD Kote, Tiptur 2 each, Hallimysore, Sargur, Hessarghatta 1 each.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were appreciably below normal at most places over Interior Karnataka and were normal over Coastal Karnataka. Bellary recorded the highest maximum temperature of 35.1 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather will prevail over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.
